This morning, my mom and I went to Home Depot to buy a pot and pan for Ours-de-Vent. I chose a clay pot painted a light blue, with a matching pan. It has a diameter of approximately ten centimeters. An employee pointed out Vigoro fertilizers, and we ended up picking the All Purpose one over the Palm, Ixora, & Ornamental Food one. Later in the evening, I eased Ours-de-Vent out of his plastic cup and into the clay pot. I do not have good soil in my backyard, but I tried to find grainy, brown soil amid the wood chips layered over the ground to stuff around Ours-de-Vent. The wood chips I did not mind so much at the very bottom of the pot, since it prevented somewhat soil to run out through the drainage hole. Unfortunately, a claw fell off my Ours when I was lightly squeezing the plastic container to get him out. Oh no! It was a beautiful, plump claw, too. I stuck it in the soil along the main plant in hopes that it will grow. Another succulent I have grew in the same way.
